Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SAM.gov Bid Finder Chrome extension ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SAM.gov Bid Finder is a Chrome browser extension that helps users discover and track government contracting opportunities from the SAM.gov platform. The Service provides:

• Automated monitoring of government contracting opportunities
• Real-time notifications for new opportunities
• Basic Plan ($39 one-time): Core monitoring features with license key activation
• Premium Plan ($9/month): Advanced features including email notifications, CSV export, and dashboard access

3. User Accounts and Subscriptions

3.1 Trial Period

New users receive a 3-day trial period with full access to premium features. After the trial expires, continued use requires either a Basic Plan license or Premium Plan subscription.

3.2 Basic Plan

The Basic Plan requires a one-time payment of $39 and provides perpetual access to core monitoring features. License keys are delivered via email after purchase.

3.3 Premium Plan

The Premium Plan requires a monthly subscription of $9 and includes all Basic Plan features plus advanced functionality. Billing is handled through Stripe and subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless cancelled.

4. Payment and Billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe (Premium subscriptions) or Gumroad (Basic licenses). By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees. Premium subscriptions automatically renew monthly unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.

5. Data Collection and Privacy

The Service requires access to SAM.gov data to function properly. We collect minimal necessary data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. The extension operates locally in your browser and does not transmit personal browsing data to our servers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:

• Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent usage limitations or payment requirements
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use the Service in a way that could damage or overload SAM.gov servers
• Share license keys or account credentials with unauthorized users

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, and functionality, is owned by SAM.gov Bid Finder and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited license to use the Service as intended, but do not acquire ownership rights.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain Service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party APIs (SAM.gov) and may be affected by their availability or changes to their systems.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

9.1 Premium Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your Stripe customer portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for cancelled subscriptions.

9.2 Basic Plan Licenses

Basic Plan licenses are non-refundable after delivery due to the digital nature of the product. Refunds may be considered within 7 days of purchase for technical issues that prevent proper function.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from use of the Service, including but not limited to lost opportunities, business losses, or technical failures. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the extension or via email for Premium subscribers.

12. Termination

We may terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately, though Basic Plan users retain their license unless terminated for abuse.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
